Activator®

People exceptionally talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They are often impatient.

How can I build H.O.P.E.?

Hospitality

  • Turn thoughts and plans to welcome new people into action and invitations.
  • Experiment with different ways to welcome and meet people.
  • Don’t sit around and talk about theories and plans to welcome new people. Go do it!
  • Take the lead on an initiative to meet new people. Get started and learn as you go. Don’t expect to have it all figured out.

Offer Christ

  • Make a commitment to Christ today. Understand tomorrow.
  • Be a part of planning a baptism weekend. It may not happen if you don’t initiate the invitation.
  • Take action every week to make a faith commitment. Act daily on your commitment.

Practice

  • Respond to a weekly sermon by asking yourself, “What am I going to do about what I have heard?”
  • If you go to a Bible Study, ask to start on time. “Let’s get started” may be a mantra you embrace. You may not enjoy sitting around waiting for things to begin.
  • The best way for you to learn is through action. Include active learning in your lessons, prayer, and worship.
  • Grow by responding to what you learn. If you are not one to sit still during a study, put on a pair of headphones and listen while you run or walk.

Engage

  • You are a catalyst for action. When it comes to service, do it!
  • Recognize your desire to act may conflict with policies and procedures of ministry partners. Your inclination is to ask for forgiveness. Just know rules are often important when serving with agencies and non-profit organizations.
  • Partner with someone with Strategic to look around the corner to possibilities for action.
  • Create momentum around a need, people group, or place you recognize could use help.
  • An Activator likes to go. Be aware and manage any remnants of “ready. fire. aim” in your maturity.
