Maximizer
People exceptionally talented in the Maximizer theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.
How can I build H.O.P.E.?
Hospitality
- Be a strength/talent scout. Who has the talent to welcome people? Watch for signs of strength, untutored excellence, rapid learning, and yearnings to do things again.
- Orchestrate and nurture the talents of others who reach out to new people.
- Use your ability to spot strengths as a way to help people find points of connection.
- Encourage a welcome team or ministry team to take their service to the next level.
Offer Christ
- As a talent scout, identify the people who have the gift of nurturing faith commitments.
- Help people new to the faith and/or local church understand their talents, claim their natural tendencies, and make commitments that are relevant and purposeful to them and the community.
- Explore ways to help new believers share their story and find connections within the local church.
Practice
- Help people name, claim, and aim their talents. They’ll grow and become more who God created them to be.
- Identify people who will help you take a learning opportunity from good to great.
- Explore serving on a worship planning team, a study group, and/or task force that explores the great people of Scripture.
- Who are the people you’re helping discover their talents and grow in faith?
Engage
- What serving opportunities can you take to the next level?
- What are you doing to expand the impact of a group/organization that you care about?
- What needs your attention? Use your scouting skills to match talents that are available with the needs of a group.
- You may see things that need improvement while serving. Be filled with grace and open to the direction of the organization’s leaders. Your eye for excellence and talent may help them see what is possible. It can also be a distraction from the real needs. Be self-aware enough to know if you’re pointing something out to be helpful or because you can’t help yourself.
