Input

People exceptionally talented in the Input theme have a craving to know more. Often they like to collect and archive all kinds of information.

How can I build H.O.P.E.?

Hospitality

– Use your ability to store, file, and collect information to be a resource for people seeking to build relationships with Jesus and the church.

– Your “collecting” may include experiences with new people. Share your knowledge with others beginning a faith journey or starting a new part of their journey.

– Practice your desire to know more by getting to know a person’s life and faith story.

Offer Christ

– Your resourcefulness could help people understand the meaning of baptism. You may collect memories or mementos of baptism.

– What do you know about baptism that could be helpful to new believers? Share your knowledge with others.

– As you collect ideas, opportunities to serve, next steps and learning opportunities, share your thoughts with other people in meaningful ways.

– Consider partnering with someone with a high Woo talent. Together, your ability to connect and desire to know more could help people wavering in commitment take a next step.

Practice

– It is likely prayers (yours and others), Scripture verses, reading plans, outlines of books of the Bible, Bible Studies, etc. all have meaning and relevance. Use an electronic file like Dropbox or Evernote to save these resources to use and share with others.

– Research the historical background of your favorite passages in Scripture.

– Collect stories that bring Scripture to life.

– Become a resource to a worship planning team.

Engage

– Your aptitude and desire to research, collect, and know more can be of service to people living in poverty. Explore your other talent themes and interests to identify a specific area that you can bring to life. Your interests fuel your service.

– Whether it is information or research, keep a servant attitude as you collect potentially helpful information for people you care about.

– If it is a cause (depression, suicide, diabetes, childhood poverty, opioid crisis, homelessness, job loss, divorce, widow, etc.) you seek to serve, remember not everyone may share your passion for knowledge, insight, and understanding. Use your other talents to learn the best way to be a loving evangelist with the knowledge you’ve collected.
