Harmony
People exceptionally talented in the Harmony theme look for consensus. They don’t enjoy conflict; rather, they seek areas of agreement.
How can I build H.O.P.E.?
Hospitality
– You may find the act of meeting new people a refreshing retreat from the routine dialogue.
– Use your ability to build bridges by being a peace-keeper to bring different social, ethnic, and/or people groups together around a common area.
– Reach new people and meet new people by seeking to find a common ground.
– Claim the role of ambassador for a neighborhood, organization, or school.
Offer Christ
– Use the understanding of baptism as a well-spring of connection to others.
– The common experience of baptized believers may help you bridge different views.
– Be the person who offers peace by inviting someone to make a commitment to Jesus and be baptized. You’ll likely be filled with peace that comes from witnessing a baptism.
– Be practical in your approach to explaining baptism. It will help you connect with others.
Practice
– Identify a group of people with whom you share common ground. Study, reflect, and pray with them. The common ground you share will help you grow together, too.
-You may be able to orchestrate different voices on one issue, idea, or study by knowing other people’s talents. Your desire to build and find bridges of connection can help different voices be heard.
– Practicality rules your day. Therefore, engage in spiritual practices that deepen your faith and qualify (in your judgment) as practical steps toward becoming more like Jesus.
Engage
– You may be able to facilitate conversation around polarizing issues because you desire to create peace in groups.
– Use your ability to listen and cultivate harmony to guide people in practical ways toward a shared agreement. You may want to serve alongside people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or at another unexpected life transition (e.g., divorce, cancer or retirement). Use your ability to think in practical ways to engage people in claiming their purpose.
– Be the calm in the chaos – wherever you choose to serve.
– Become the person people can count on to tell you what is possible and what is good. Communicate you expect the same from others.
