Relator

People exceptionally talented in the Relator theme enjoy close relationships with others. They find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal.

How can I build H.O.P.E.?

Hospitality

– Partner with a good friend to be a welcoming presence for others.

– Serve as the “next step” person to help people go deeper and find connections with others.

– Your close, caring, trusting relationships take time. You are a great person to take the next step with on a team, within the church, or beyond the church.

– You have the ability to relate to all kinds of people.

Offer Christ

– You’ll naturally help people you know and are getting to know make a commitment of faith because you care for them.

– The bonds of friendship and fellowship are important to you. You may even have unwritten rules of engagement. The commitment of faith is a bond you take seriously. Doing it with others can expand your joy.

– Let your friends know you are praying with and for them. Your commitment to others multiplies your available energy.

Practice

– Your solid, genuine, and mutually rewarding relationships are a place you can grow and develop.

– Study, pray, worship with your friends.

– Engage in discussion about meaningful topics, Scripture, and practices of prayer, devotion, tithing with people you care about. You’ll respect their thoughts and they might also help you continue to grow.

Engage

– Use acts of service as a way to live out your friendships. As you team up to serve together, the experience will likely help you get to know people better – even though you already know them well.

– Serve with people. Recognize doing things with others is a deep relational experience for you.

– Find a place to serve with people you care about and commit to deepening relationships with those you serve alongside. Your model of care and depth of friendship with others can be a gift for those who are lonely, left out, or feeling a bit lost.

– Once you find a place to use your talents in service, stick with it and nurture it.
